According to preliminary data released by Eurostat on July 31, the Eurozone inflation rate in July 2026 was 2.9% on an annualized basis, up from 2.8% in June. According to the data, energy prices in the Eurozone rose 10.0% year on year in July, significantly higher than 8.5% in June, which was the main factor driving up the overall price level; service prices rose 3.3% year on year, slightly higher than 3.2% in June; and prices of non-energy industrial products rose 0.9% year on year, up from 0.7% in June. Food, tobacco and alcohol prices rose 1.2% year over year, down from 1.5% in June.
