At 15:40 on July 31, the Sichuan Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning for rainstorms: From 20:00 on July 31 to 20:00 on August 1, there was torrential rain in parts of the 6 cities of Guangyuan, Mianyang, Deyang, Chengdu, Meishan, and Leshan, central southern Ya'an, and the western part of the 4 cities of Yibin, Zigong, Neijiang, and Ziyang. The maximum hourly rain was 40 to 70 mm. There was heavy rain to torrential rain in parts of northeastern Liangshan Prefecture and southern Ganzi Prefecture.
