In June, the value added of large-scale electronic information manufacturing increased 15.7% year-on-year. Among the main products, industrial robot production was 538,000 units, up 28.0% year on year; production of new energy vehicles was 7.399 million units, up 6.0% year on year; and integrated circuit production was 279.8 billion yuan, up 23.1% year on year.

The operation of the electronic information manufacturing industry from January to June 2026

In the first half of 2026, production in China's electronic information manufacturing industry continued to accelerate, exports stabilized and improved, efficiency maintained growth, investment grew steadily, and the overall development trend of the industry was good.

1. Production continues to accelerate

In the first half of the year, the value added of large-scale electronic information manufacturing increased by 14.8% year-on-year. The growth rate was 9.4 and 1.5 percentage points higher than that of the industrial and high-tech manufacturing industries during the same period, respectively. In June, the value added of large-scale electronic information manufacturing increased 15.7% year-on-year. Among the main products, industrial robot production was 538,000 units, up 28.0% year on year; production of new energy vehicles was 7.399 million units, up 6.0% year on year; and integrated circuit production was 279.8 billion yuan, up 23.1% year on year.

II. Exports are stable and improving

In the first half of the year, the large-scale electronic information manufacturing industry achieved a cumulative year-on-year increase of 7.8% in export delivery value, an increase of 1.7 percentage points over January-May. In June, the large-scale electronic information manufacturing industry achieved a 12.9% year-on-year increase in export delivery value. According to customs statistics, in the first half of the year, China exported 50.23 million televisions, up 3.1% year on year; exported 325 million mobile phones, down 4.3% year on year; exported 179.4 billion integrated circuits, up 7% year on year.

3. Benefits continue to increase

In the first half of the year, the large-scale electronic information manufacturing industry achieved revenue of 9.41 trillion yuan, an increase of 18.5%; operating costs of 7.98 trillion yuan, an increase of 15.4%; and a total profit of 577.7 billion yuan, an increase of 96.9% over the previous year. In June, the operating revenue of large-scale electronic information manufacturing industry was 1.89 trillion yuan, an increase of 24.7% over the previous year.

IV. Steady growth in investment

In the first half of the year, fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry increased 6.5% year on year, down 0.2 percentage points from January-May, and 7.6 percentage points higher than the industrial investment growth rate during the same period.

5. Revenue growth in the central region is growing faster

In the first half of the year, the eastern region of the large-scale electronic information manufacturing industry achieved revenue of 649.73 billion yuan, up 0.9 percentage points from January to May; the central region achieved revenue of 186.39 billion yuan, up 44.8% year on year, up 2.7 percentage points from January to May; the western region achieved revenue of 102.5 billion yuan, up 14.9% year on year, up 2.8 percentage points from January to May; Northeast China achieved revenue of 44.1 billion yuan, up 1.4% year on year, down 0.5 percentage points from January-May. In June, the eastern region achieved revenue of 1298.6 billion yuan, an increase of 17.3%; the central region achieved revenue of 382.4 billion yuan, an increase of 56.6%; the western region achieved revenue of 196.4 billion yuan, an increase of 28.2%; and the Northeast region achieved revenue of 8.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.
