Listen to the news

The recent price decline of 13% in SuperRobotics Holdings Limited's (HKG:8176) stock may have disappointed insiders who bought HK$7.50m worth of shares at an average price of HK$0.12 in the past 12 months. Insiders invest with the hopes of seeing their money grow in value over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth HK$1.25m, which is not what they expected.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At SuperRobotics Holdings

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by insider Zhituan Su for HK$7.5m worth of shares, at about HK$0.12 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than HK$0.02 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. Zhituan Su was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.
