Wood Investment Companies, Inc. (WICo) announced the opening of a new 149,655‑square‑foot Target at Plaza de Perris, located at 1688 N. Perris Blvd. in Perris. The store opening marks a significant milestone for the center and the surrounding Inland Empire communities, according to WICo..

Target now occupies the former Regency Theatres building, which WICo demolished to make way for the retailer’s new store following the theater’s 2024 closing after nearly 30 years. Plaza de Perris totals nearly 300,000 square feet and is anchored by Burlington, Food 4 Less, Ross, Planet Fitness and Five Below.

Patrick Wood, president of WICo, said the opening represents a transformational moment for the community. “Redeveloping the former Regency Theatres into a state‑of‑the‑art Target has been a priority for us and for the City of Perris,” said Wood. “This project reflects years of collaboration, planning and investment, and we’re proud to deliver a flagship retailer that elevates daily shopping options for residents throughout Perris and the greater Inland Empire.”
