The conference pointed out that the purpose of comprehensively carrying out the “do middle school” pilot action for science education at the compulsory education stage is to guide students to start from interest, ask questions, explore and verify, reflect and exchange, form scientific ideas, master scientific methods, inspire scientific thinking, comprehensively enhance students' scientific literacy, and leverage the “big reform” of the education model with “small fulcrums”. The conference called for local education administration departments to focus on scientific research and practice to promote the construction of a new science education ecosystem, focusing on strengthening curriculum implementation plans, changing teaching methods, improving evaluation methods, developing supporting resources, and strengthening social collaboration, strengthening overall leadership, comprehensive system deployment, formulating work plans, and earnestly carrying out the implementation of various measures.
