Zhitong Finance App News, Guiyan Platinum (600459.SH) announced that Guiyan Resources (Yimen) Co., Ltd. (“Guiyan Resources Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, plans to invest in the construction of a pilot plant project for recycling decommissioned photovoltaic modules in its own factory area. The project aims to build a standardized and efficient PV module recycling system through the construction of a key pilot base in the recycling field of decommissioned photovoltaic modules, promote the agglomeration and development of the regional photovoltaic recycling industry, enhance industrial chain collaboration and resource guarantee capabilities, lay a solid foundation for large-scale implementation and promotion of subsequent projects, and help the Group achieve the “15th Five-Year Plan” high-quality development goal. The total investment of the project is about 104 million yuan, and the construction period is about 12 months.
The implementation of this project is an important practice for the company to actively serve the country's “double carbon” strategy and fully implement the concept of green circular economic development. It is also the company's core gripper for expanding resource recycling business and improving the resilience of the industrial chain. As the company's first pilot project in the field of photovoltaic recycling, it has important pioneering demonstration significance for exploring recycling paths throughout the industry chain, building a complete recycling business model, and accumulating operating experience.
The project relies on Guiyan Resources's deep accumulation in the field of precious metal recycling, focusing on refining and recycling of valuable metals such as Bank of China for decommissioned photovoltaic modules, creating a closed loop in the “decommissioning and sorting - precious metal recycling - by-product sale” process, verifying core data such as core processes and operating costs through a pilot system, and mitigating engineering risks such as technology adaptation, equipment matching and investment in advance, and accumulating complete technical reserves and operating experience for subsequent construction of production and capacity expansion projects; simultaneously filling up the company's layout gaps in the photovoltaic recycling field to further build the company A new growth pole for the circular economy sector.
