Changchun Hi-Tech (000661.SZ): Jinsai Pharmaceutical's application for registration of 144 domestically produced drugs was approved

Zhitong Finance App News, Changchun Hi-Tech (000661.SZ) issued an announcement. Recently, the company's subsidiary, Changchun Jinsai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinsai Pharmaceutical”), received the “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” approved and issued by the State Drug Administration, and Jinsai Pharmaceutical's application for registering 144 domestically produced drugs was approved. GenSci 144 tablets are an oral small molecule inhibitor targeting the neutral amino acid transporter SLC6a19 independently developed by Jinsai Pharmaceutical. It is registered as a Class 1 chemical and is intended for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

GenSci 144 tablets inhibit SLC6A19 transporter protein while reducing (heavy) absorption of neutral amino acids in the renal tubules and small intestine, thereby reducing proximal tubule metabolic overload and transport load, activating tubular feedback, and partially simulating the benefits of a low-protein diet, improving metabolic disorders in the kidney and reducing inflammation and fibrosis, thereby delaying renal decline. This mechanism of action is different from existing drugs that slow the progression of nephropathy. It is expected to be applied to all types of CKD patients. Theoretically, it can be used in combination with existing therapeutic drugs to complement the treatment mechanism.
