Zhitong Finance App News, Rongbai Technology (688005.SH) issued an announcement. In order to seize the critical window for sodium electricity industrialization and to meet the expected needs of major downstream customers, the company plans to invest in the construction of an integrated sodium electric cathode material project with an annual output of 300,000 tons in Xiantao to further consolidate and expand its pioneering advantage in the field of sodium electric cathode materials.
The project will be implemented by the company's consolidated subsidiaries. The total investment is estimated to be about 4.723 billion yuan, of which 4 billion yuan is invested in fixed assets and 723 million yuan is invested in operating capital. The project is planned to have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. It is planned to be built in stages and put into operation in stages according to the first phase of 50,000 tons, the second phase of 100,000 tons, and the third phase of 150,000 tons. The construction period is expected to be 24 months. Among them, the first phase of construction is expected to be from August 2026 to May 2027, and the actual construction progress of phase II and phase III is based on the start of each phase of the project.
This project is an important step for the company to advance its platform-based strategy. While consolidating the core business of ternary cathode materials, the company continues to lay out diversified cathode material systems such as sodium electricity, lithium iron phosphate, and lithium manganese iron phosphate. After the implementation of the project, the company's cathode material product matrix and large-scale delivery capacity are expected to be further improved, which is conducive to reducing dependence on a single product and a single technology route. The project is conducive to improving the company's large-scale delivery capacity for sodium electrocathode materials. Some of the company's polyanionic cathode materials have been shipped in batches and entered some core customer supply systems. The project will be built in stages according to customer orders and needs, which is conducive to improving the company's customer response, product supply and large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
