Spanish Annual Inflation Rate Rises to 3.5% in July, Flash Data Shows

03:15 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spain's annual inflation accelerated to 3.5% in July from 3.2% in June, according to provisional data from the National Statistics Institute published Thursday. The reading is above the consensus estimate of 3.2% on Investing.com. On a monthly basis, consumer prices in Spain were up 0.2%, as expected, and against the previous 0.6% gain. The Spanish annual harmonized inflation rate came in at 3.8%, higher than the previous 3.6% and the market forecast of 3.7%. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices declined 0.1%, compared with the 0.6% rise earlier and the expected 0.2% decrease. Meanwhile, the country's annual core inflation rate edged up to 3% from 2.9%.
