According to information, at present, public security authorities in many places have opened and investigated related cases, and Meituan is actively cooperating with the police to provide complete data such as account login logs, order details, and write-off records to assist in investigating criminal gangs. Faced with this new type of criminal method, Meituan said it has continued to upgrade risk control strategies: in high-incidence scenarios such as group purchases at popular restaurants, increased risk reminders and verification steps before bulk purchases; restricted group purchase voucher transfer routes; and offline the ability to pay for high-risk categories. In terms of user protection, Meituan has opened a special processing channel for piracy to ensure that unwritten orders are blocked as soon as users call; for cancelled orders, a special evaluation process has been initiated, and a special team will contact affected users one by one to assist in properly handling related losses.
