The CEO of chip-design startup ChipAgents said the company has increased its Series A funding scale by $60 million to further support its plans to use AI agents to accelerate semiconductor design. William Wang, CEO of ChipAgents, said in an interview with the media that the maximum efficiency improvement brought by the company's software is reflected in the chip verification process, which helps confirm that the chip can operate as expected by the design. “A large part of that work is actually making sure there are no loopholes,” he said. ChipAgents said this week that it will expand its strategic cooperation with Nvidia, and the two sides will jointly develop an AI model dedicated to ChipAgents focusing on chip design. Wang declined to say whether Nvidia is an investor in the company. This additional financing was led by B Capital, bringing ChipAgents' total Series A financing to US$131 million. Previously, investors included Micron, MediaTek, and Ericsson.
