07:27 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rheinmetall (RHM.F) said Wednesday it is experiencing "only a minor impact" from its inclusion in the Chinese government's new export control list. In a statement to MT Newswires, the German arms maker said it took appropriate measures at an early stage. "'[W]e have consistently diversified our procurement, established new supply chains and significantly increased our stock levels. Furthermore, where necessary, we have initiated the early redesign of products in order to reduce our reliance on critical materials." Rheinmetall added that it does not expect Beijing's restrictions to negatively impact its turnover or profit, and that it can "minimise or even eliminate" any potential effects via stock management and alternative sources. On July 24, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce added 14 European Union companies to its list of entities that are banned from importing dual-use items from China.
