According to the Zhitong Finance App, COSCO Haifa (601866.SH) issued an announcement. Through its subsidiary Hainan Haifa Shipping, the company commissioned Waigaoqiao Shipyard under China Shipbuilding Group and Xiangyu Haisang, a subsidiary of Xiamen Xiangyu, to build 10 210,000 ton bulk carriers and 5 210,000 ton bulk carriers respectively. The transaction amounts were 5.28 billion yuan (excluding tax) and 2.64 billion yuan (excluding tax), respectively. The transaction will sign an independent construction contract for each ship. The agreed price of a single ship is 528 million yuan (excluding tax), and the total price of this transaction is 7.92 billion yuan (excluding tax).

Through this transaction, the company will further develop the advantages of industrial and financial collaboration, enhance the scale and quality of the company's ship assets, improve the asset layout of large bulk carriers, consolidate the foundation for the development of the company's ship leasing business, contribute to long-term stable revenue and cash flow, improve the company's overall financial stability, and enhance the company's motivation for sustainable development.
