The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced recall information on July 29. BMW North America will recall some 2024 S1000RR US Edition and the 2020-2026 S1000RR motorcycles, involving approximately 16,700 vehicles. The internal components of the ignition lock of the affected vehicle may malfunction due to motorcycle vibration, causing electronic systems such as the instrument display, rear lighting system, and anti-lock braking system to fail, or cause the engine to stall during driving.
