In response to US President Trump's statement about “using Iran's frozen assets to pay compensation for damaged ships,” Iranian armed forces Hattam Ambia central command spokesman Ibrahim Zulfagari issued a warning to Trump on July 28, saying that his “illegal actions are bound to face consequences.” Zulfagari also said that Iran has officially informed all countries and shipping companies around the world that anyone who accepts the US proposal and uses Iran's frozen assets on this basis will immediately ban any of its ships from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
