Hong Kong Differential Assessment Service: Property prices in Hong Kong rose 0.3% month-on-month in June, rising 12.8% for 13 consecutive months

The Zhitong Finance App learned that residential property prices in Hong Kong continued to rise. According to data from the Hong Kong Differential Assessment Service, the Hong Kong Property Price Index reported 323.2 points in June, up 0.3% from May's 322.2 points, up 0.3% from month to month. Property prices continued to rise for 13 months, and property prices rose 12.8% cumulatively, reaching a high of more than two and a half years. Summing up the first half of the year, the cumulative increase reached 7.88%. Currently, the index is 398.1 points from its historical high in September 2021, and the gap has narrowed to 18.81%.

In terms of the rent index, the private house rent index reported 205.8 points in June this year, up 0.9% month-on-month from 203.9 points in May, and hit a record high. It continued to rise for 8 months, with a cumulative increase of about 2.95%. The first six months of this year have also increased by about 2.64%.
