Porsche announced on July 27 that it had reached an agreement with the trade union on future development plans. It plans to invest a total of 2.1 billion euros in Zuffenhausen and Weissach plants in Stuttgart, Germany by 2035. Porsche also announced a series of measures aimed at drastically reducing labor costs, improving plant flexibility, and significantly improving production efficiency. Among them, 5,000 jobs will be further cut in a “socially responsible manner” by 2035, mainly through natural attrition, expansion of special retirement plans, and voluntary separation agreements.
