On July 27, a fleet of ships composed of the Changshan and Five Tigers of the China Sea Police set sail from Qingdao to carry out a 45-day high seas fishery enforcement cruise in the North Pacific. The purpose of this mission is to fulfill international obligations, maintain the high seas fishery production order in the North Pacific Ocean, conserve the ecological resources of high seas fishery, and fully demonstrate China's responsibility as a major power that actively participates in global ocean governance and takes the initiative to assume responsibility for the conservation of high seas fishery resources. During the mission, in accordance with relevant international conventions and agreements, the Chinese Maritime Police will carry out comprehensive and three-dimensional law enforcement inspections, strengthen high seas boarding and inspection, strictly crack down on illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing activities, effectively maintain the order of fishery production on the high seas, and promote the sustainable development of fishery resources.
