The Imperial Japanese Database Company conducted a survey of 195 major food and beverage manufacturers across the country to inquire about their intention to increase prices. The results show that in August, the prices of 1,898 kinds of food products will increase in the Japanese market, including flour, instant noodles, and frozen foods; in September, the prices of more than 3,000 kinds of food will increase. The company predicts that according to current trends, prices for about 20,000 kinds of food will increase in Japan this year. According to the company's analysis, the increase in food prices in August was mainly due to rising raw material prices, logistics costs, and packaging materials. Furthermore, the increase in import costs due to the depreciation of the yen is also a factor driving up food prices.
