Iran's National Water Company said on Sunday that although major cities such as Tehran, Mashhad, and Arak have been short of water for a long time, there are no plans to limit water supply. National Water Supply and Drainage Engineering Company spokesman Ali Syedzad said that at present, the overall water storage rate of national reservoirs has reached 63%, with a total water storage capacity of about 32 billion cubic meters. According to Iran's Labor News Agency, although the country's overall water reserves have recovered, the water storage rate of the reservoirs supplying Tehran is only 30%, and the water shortage problem in the capital is still serious.
