Recently, the 12th batch of Chinese infantry battalions going to South Sudan to safely and efficiently complete a joint short patrol mission from Juba to Tjekoca in accordance with UNMISS authorization and South War Zone orders, together with United Nations military observers and civilian personnel. The entire patrol covered a total of more than 170 kilometers, and the safety risk was high. Before departure, the mission team carefully organized multiple rounds of promotion, comprehensively collected and judged the safety situation, social conditions, and natural environment information along the way, and formulated response plans for possible emergencies. During the patrol, South Sudan was in the rainy season. High temperatures, humidity and heat continued. The roads along the route were soft and muddy, and traffic conditions were poor. The patrol convoy suddenly experienced heavy rainfall while traveling, further increasing the risk and difficulty of traffic.
