Vigo Photonics Expects No 'Critical Impact' from China's Dual-use Goods Export Ban

09:59 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vigo Photonics (VGO.WA) said Friday its inclusion in the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's list of companies subject to a dual-use goods export ban will not have a "critical impact" on the company. According to the infrared photon detectors maker's preliminary analysis, the ban is not expected to affect its revenue and profit in relation to the production and sale of infrared detectors and modules, as well as infrared arrays for military applications. Vigo, however, expects a potential impact on its semiconductor materials segment due to the limited access to indium phosphide substrates following the trading restrictions. It noted that half of the segment's revenue was generated from substrates previously imported from China.
