06:47 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended a marketing authorization for Roche's (RO.SW) Susvimo to treat patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration. The positive recommendation was based on data from three clinical studies, including the Archway pivotal Phase 3 study and two supportive studies, according to a Friday release. The Swiss drugmaker said Susvimo is delivered through its refillable Contivue eye implant, making it the first continuous drug-delivery treatment to offer an alternative to frequent eye injections for the disease. The European Commission is expected to make a final decision in the near future.
