04:58 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Burford Capital (BUR.L) said Friday it is set to receive over AU$250 million after one of its counterparties was awarded $600 million in an arbitration case tied to mining in Cameroon. However, the award issued by an ICC International Court of Arbitration tribunal is still subject to litigation and collection risks, including potential annulment, set-aside or other post-award proceedings. The timing and amount also remain uncertain, and the legal financing company may end up collecting substantially less than the amount announced.
