On July 24, the Information Office of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held a press conference on the operation of the autonomous region's national economy in the first half of 2026. At the press conference, Wei Hong, member of the party group and deputy director of the Autonomous Region Bureau of Statistics, explained that according to the unified accounting results of gross domestic product, in the first half of 2026, Xinjiang's gross domestic product was 1031.34 billion yuan, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year at constant prices. Among them: the primary sector added value of 64,185 billion yuan, an increase of 2.8%; the secondary sector added value of 404.937 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4%; and the tertiary sector added value of 562,232 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2%.
