The Chongqing Caiyuanba Yangtze River Railway Tunnel is the first high-speed rail tunnel in China to cross the Yangtze River and achieve penetration. After the tunnel is completed, the project will be transferred to ballastless track construction and rail paving. After completion of the project, the Chongqing Railway Station and Chongqing East Railway Station can be interconnected. The Chongqing-Xiamen High Speed Rail is an important part of China's “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network. It starts in Chongqing, passes through Hunan and Jiangxi, and ends in Xiamen, Fujian. Currently, the Chongqing East to Changsha section and the Ganzhou to Xiamen section have been opened.
