Shareholders might have noticed that Granules India Limited (NSE:GRANULES) filed its first-quarter result this time last week. The early response was not positive, with shares down 5.6% to ₹853 in the past week. It was a credible result overall, with revenues of ₹15b and statutory earnings per share of ₹24.46 both in line with analyst estimates, showing that Granules India is executing in line with expectations. The analysts typically update their forecasts at each earnings report, and we can judge from their estimates whether their view of the company has changed or if there are any new concerns to be aware of. With this in mind, we've gathered the latest statutory forecasts to see what the analysts are expecting for next year.
After the latest results, the six analysts covering Granules India are now predicting revenues of ₹63.3b in 2027. If met, this would reflect a meaningful 12% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are predicted to grow 19% to ₹31.76. Before this earnings report, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of ₹62.1b and earnings per share (EPS) of ₹30.78 in 2027. So the consensus seems to have become somewhat more optimistic on Granules India's earnings potential following these results.

The consensus price target rose 12% to ₹901, suggesting that higher earnings estimates flow through to the stock's valuation as well. Fixating on a single price target can be unwise though, since the consensus target is effectively the average of analyst price targets. As a result, some investors like to look at the range of estimates to see if there are any diverging opinions on the company's valuation. There are some variant perceptions on Granules India, with the most bullish analyst valuing it at ₹1,111 and the most bearish at ₹588 per share. Analysts definitely have varying views on the business, but the spread of estimates is not wide enough in our view to suggest that extreme outcomes could await Granules India shareholders.
These estimates are interesting, but it can be useful to paint some more broad strokes when seeing how forecasts compare, both to the Granules India's past performance and to peers in the same industry. It's clear from the latest estimates that Granules India's rate of growth is expected to accelerate meaningfully, with the forecast 17% annualised revenue growth to the end of 2027 noticeably faster than its historical growth of 7.8% p.a. over the past five years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in a similar industry are forecast to grow their revenue at 12% per year. Factoring in the forecast acceleration in revenue, it's pretty clear that Granules India is expected to grow much faster than its industry.
The most important thing here is that the analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates, suggesting that there has been a clear increase in optimism towards Granules India following these results. Happily, there were no major changes to revenue forecasts, with the business still expected to grow faster than the wider industry. There was also a nice increase in the price target, with the analysts clearly feeling that the intrinsic value of the business is improving.
With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for Granules India going out to 2029, and you can see them free on our platform here..
