Listen to the news

Tsaker New Energy Tech Co., Limited (HKG:1986) insiders who purchased shares in the last 12 months were richly rewarded last week. The stock climbed by 17% resulting in a HK$136m addition to the company’s market value. Put another way, the original CN¥54.8m acquisition is now worth CN¥61.9m.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Tsaker New Energy Tech

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Non-Executive Director Deyuan Pan for HK$55m worth of shares, at about HK$0.84 per share. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of HK$0.95. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.
