The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Thursday, SK Hynix (SKHY.US) rose more than 6% to $175.87. According to the news, Google's parent company Alphabet announced financial reports and raised its 2026 capital expenditure forecast to between 1950 billion and 205 billion US dollars to increase data center capacity to meet AI needs. AI servers require large amounts of high-bandwidth memory. SK Hynix is the main supplier and will benefit from customers' larger capital expenditure plans.

Furthermore, SK Hynix has completed a record ADR issuance for US stocks, and the amount used to convert Korean stocks to ADR has reached the upper limit of 2.5% of the total share capital, which has limited the additional supply of ADR for US stocks. Driven by demand, this scarcity of chips has amplified the resilience of its share price increase.
