Centrica Swings to H1 Profit; Revenue Edges Up

02:32 AM EDT, 07/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Centrica (CNA.L) said Wednesday it swung to an attributable profit in the first half, while revenue was up year over year. Profit attributable to owners of the parent for the six months ended June 30 was 532 million pounds sterling, compared with a loss of 251 million pounds a year earlier. EPS was 0.115 pound, compared with a loss per share of 0.051 pound. The British energy and services company's total group revenue was 10.18 billion pounds, compared with 10.12 billion pounds a year ago. Meanwhile, the board proposed an interim dividend of 0.02 pound per share for the first half, payable on Sept. 22 to shareholders on record Aug. 21. It paid an interim dividend of 0.0183 pound per share a year ago. For full-year 2026, Centrica expects group earnings to be weighted to the first half.
