Betamek's 1Q net profit jumps on higher sales volume

KUALA LUMPUR: Betamek Bhd registered a net profit of RM8.25mil in its first financial quarter ended June 30, 2026, as compared to RM5.39mil  in the year-ago quarter as it achieved a higher quarterly sales volume from major customers.

Quarterly revenue rose to RM79.82mil from RM56.88mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

According to the group's filing with the stock exchange, 56.8% or RM45.34mil of the revenue was attributed to its vehicle audio and video products segment.

The group's Malaysian customers remained the largest contributor to the group, making up 82.4% of the quarterly revenue.

In line with its performance, Betamek's board of director declared an interim dividend of 1.25 sen per share with entitlement date on Aug 6, 2026, and payment on Aug 17, 2026.

Moving forward, the group said it will  continue to focus on strengthening its core

automotive business while forging ahead with its diversification and innovation initiatives to build a more resilient platform for sustainable growth.
