The total number of passenger car registrations rose 13.1% year over year to 1407,332 vehicles. The registrations of pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and oil-electric hybrid models surged 51%, 22.7%, and 17.1% respectively. Together, the three types of models accounted for more than 80% of the total number of new car registrations. Gasoline and diesel vehicle registrations declined by 12.2% and 16.9%, respectively.
