China Automobile Association: Sales of Chinese brand passenger cars totaled 1.812 million units in June, up 7.3% month-on-month

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to statistical analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June 2026, Chinese brand passenger cars sold a total of 1.812 million units, up 7.3% from the previous month and 6.2% from the previous year, accounting for 75.5% of total passenger car sales. The sales share increased 8.2 percentage points over the same period last year.

From January to June 2026, Chinese brand passenger cars sold a total of 9.138 million units, down 1.4% from the previous year, accounting for 71.8% of total passenger car sales. The sales share increased by 3.3 percentage points over the same period last year.
