Eni, Partner Produce First Industrial Electricity From Gas Power Facility in Kazakhstan

04:55 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eni (ENI.MI) said Wednesday the 120-megawatt gas power plant in Kazakhstan, developed together with state-owned oil and gas company KazMunayGas, generated first industrial electricity. The facility is a part of the 247-MW Mangystau Hybrid Power Plant Project that the Italian energy company's unit, Plenitude, is building with KazMunayGas. Final commissioning of the gas power plant is expected in the third quarter of 2026, followed by the start of operations at a 77-MW wind power plant in 2027 to complete Mangystau's hybrid configuration
