According to a CBS report, US House Speaker Mike Johnson did not clearly respond when asked whether he would push for a vote on the War Powers Act on Tuesday, but said that the US-Iran war needs to end, and the US should also get support from other parties to push for the end of the war. Johnson said he believes politicians should “leave room for the government” to seek an end to the war through negotiations. He said, “I know that the current administration is working around the clock to find a solution to this problem in a way that can prevent more US military casualties.” However, Johnson emphasized once again that the US must ensure that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons.
