According to the news, financial reports show that Halliburton's Q2 revenue, the world's largest hydraulic fracturing service provider, was US$5.71 billion, up 3.7% year on year, better than market expectations; adjusted earnings per share were $0.55, better than market expectations; however, adjusted operating profit was US$683 million, down 6.1% year on year, falling short of analysts' average expectations of US$688.7 million. In a conference call on July 21, the company predicted that revenue from drilling and assessment operations in the third quarter fell 3% to 5% month-on-month, revenue from completion and production operations remained flat to a 2% month-on-month decline, and overall revenue guidance was weak.
