On July 21, the “Daily Economic News” reporter learned that the Hong Kong High Court handed down the latest ruling on the same day in the family estate dispute case of Wahaha Group founder Zong Qinghou, rejecting the appeal leave applications of defendants Fang Zong Fuli and Jian Hao Ventures Limited, and upholding the asset preservation and disclosure order issued by the original trial judge on August 1, 2025. At the same time, the court ordered Zong Fuli to pay the plaintiff HK$250,000 in court costs. On August 1, 2025, the Hong Kong High Court announced the hearing results of the Wahaha inheritance case: Zong Fuli will not be able to withdraw money or any assets in the Hong Kong HSBC bank account of Jian Hao Ventures Limited until the outcome of the lawsuit in the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court and the Zhejiang Higher People's Court unless the court has another order. At the same time, Fuli Zong is required to disclose the HSBC account's latest balance, asset whereabouts, and complete accounts of income and expenditure. If the assets in the account are transferred to a third party on or after February 2, 2024, the defendant is also required to submit the relevant information.
