Boeing Urges US to Seek Transparency on EU's EUR3 Billion Loan to Airbus

06:31 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing (BCO.F) urged the US government to seek greater transparency from the European Union regarding a proposed 3 billion-euro financing package for Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F), Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a letter written by Boeing to US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. Boeing requested that Greer seek full accounting terms of the financing, which was awarded by the European Investment Bank, the EU's lending arm, on June 29. The request comes only days after Washington and Brussels agreed to extend their pause on tariffs for jet subsidies. EU representative, Boeing and Airbus did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
