Iran's delegation in Vienna said on Tuesday that the Chairman of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization called on the International Atomic Energy Agency to take action after a US missile attack on the country's Darhoven Karen nuclear power plant facility. The delegation said that on the day of the attack, Mohamed Eslami sent a letter to International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi requesting “effective and appropriate countermeasures.” The delegation said that the US military fired multiple missiles at the facility in the early hours of Sunday morning, and pointed out that this attack was the 18th attack on Iran's supervised nuclear facility since the US and Israel launched an attack in June 2025. The Iranian delegation in Vienna called on the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency to condemn the attack on peaceful nuclear facilities and take effective action to deal with it.
