According to the news, on July 20, Yancoal Australia released its report for the second quarter ending June 30, 2026. Using a 100% benchmark, it produced 17.5 million tons of raw coal. On a 100% basis, commercial coal production is 13.8 million tons. Equity commercial coal production is 10.8 million tons. Equity commodities sold 11.6 million tons of coal. The average coal sales price is 160 Australian dollars/ton. Cash balance of $2.01 billion as of June 30, 2026. In the second quarter of 2026, the overall coal sales price was 160 Australian dollars/ton. Among them, the sales price of thermal coal increased 11% compared to the first quarter of 2026, and the sales price of metallurgical coal increased 3%.

According to the Zhongtai Securities Research Report, in 2025, Yancoal Australia achieved 67 million tons of raw coal production and 50.8 million tons of commercial coal production, with year-on-year increases of 6.86% and 6.28%, respectively. Combined with the continuous decline in unit cash costs since 2023, core mining costs have been low in the industry for a long time, and the company's profits are resilient. The company will promote the acquisition of 80% of Kestrel Coal Mine interests in 2026, and is expected to increase commercial coal equity production by about 4.8 million tons/year. The bank believes that, based on its advantage of being in the lower range of the global metallurgical coal cost curve, it is expected to provide stable growth and enhance the company's performance, and open up room for the company's coal business growth.
