The Zhitong Finance App learned that Liwen Paper (02314) opened more than 8% higher. As of press release, it had risen 8.5% to HK$3.7, with a turnover of HK$1.121 million.

According to the news, Lee & Man Paper announced that it is expected to obtain the company's profit for the period of about HK$1.33 billion to HK$1.39 billion for the six months ending June 30, 2026, an increase of 64% to 71% over HK$811 million in the same period last year. This increase in earnings was mainly due to a rise in the Group's marginal profit.

Orient Securities previously pointed out that after a price cycle of more than three years, the waste paper-cardboard corrugated paper industry chain ushered in a price increase that exceeded expectations in the second quarter. Whether this price increase can continue until the peak season in the second half of the year is worth the market's attention. For companies at the bottom of the profit cycle, price increases are expected to bring greater flexibility in profit recovery.
