GSK Wins European Label Expansion for Meningococcal Disease Vaccine

02:17 AM EDT, 07/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- British drugmaker GSK (GSK.L) said Monday that the European Medicines Agency accepted its application to update the label for its invasive meningococcal disease treatment Bexsero. The proposed label would cover a single-dose booster for individuals aged 10 years and older who were previously vaccinated with Bexsero. If approved, the booster could help reduce the disease burden in countries with established infant MenB vaccination programs. The submission is backed by data from a phase 3 trial, which showed that a single dose strengthened the immune response in participants who had been vaccinated as infants.
