According to the Zhitong Finance App, Air China (00753) announced that on July 17, 2026, the Company and Air China Import and Export Company signed an Air China aircraft purchase agreement with Airbus. According to this, the Company has agreed to purchase 15 Airbus A350-900 aircraft from Airbus; and the Company's subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines signed a Shenzhen Airlines aircraft purchase agreement with Airbus. This transaction is in line with the company's development plans and market needs, and is conducive to the Group's optimization of the fleet structure and long-term capacity supplementation. The transaction will expand the carrying capacity of the Group's fleet without taking into account adjustments such as aircraft emissions that may be made based on the market environment and aircraft age. Based on the Group's usable tonnage as of December 31, 2025, the Air China aircraft purchase is expected to increase the Group's capacity by about 7.1%, and the Shenzhen Airlines aircraft purchase is expected to increase the Group's capacity by about 4.3%.
The A350-900 aircraft and A320NEO series aircraft introduced in this exchange are all Airbus's next-generation high-efficiency and energy-efficient models. Fuel consumption, carbon emission levels, and operating costs are significantly lower than the previous generation models. This transaction will help the Group optimize its fleet structure and route network structure, improve route operation efficiency and service quality, and strongly support the Group's future capacity layout. At the same time, it continues to reduce the operating cost per unit, helping the company achieve its dual carbon target and the green and low-carbon transformation of China's civil aviation.
The new A350-900 aircraft purchased at this exchange will be delivered in batches from 2030 to 3032, and the new A320NEO series aircraft will be delivered in batches from 2029 to 2032. In part to meet the renewal needs of the fleet's old aircraft, the actual net increase in capacity will remain within a manageable range.
