The British government announced a few days ago that England plans to ban the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks to children under 16 from April 2027 to reduce the potential impact of such drinks on children's physical and mental health and schoolwork. The relevant measures still need to be submitted to Parliament for consideration. According to an announcement issued by the British government, the ban applies to beverages containing more than 150 mg of caffeine per liter, with the exception of tea and coffee, covering all forms of retail such as stores, vending machines, and online retailers. Businesses that break the rules will face fines of up to £2,500.
