Per Aarsleff Wins DKK3.7 Billion Contract for Bornholm Energy Island Project Facilities

04:59 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Per Aarsleff (PAAL-B.CO) said Friday it secured a 3.7 billion-Danish-kroner design-and-build contract from Energinet for land facilities supporting the Bornholm Energy Island project. The facilities will be built in southern Bornholm and Høje Taastrup, with a substantial part of the work to be conducted by the Danish civil engineering and construction company in-house. The design phase is scheduled to start on Aug. 1, with initial earthworks and concrete works expected around the turn of 2027 and 2028. The facilities are due to be handed over in 2030 and 2031. The contract is subject to a standard 10-day standstill period.
