State Post Office: The total business revenue of the postal industry reached 92560 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 6.0% year-on-year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that data from the State Post Office shows that in the first half of the year, the postal industry's business revenue (excluding the direct operating income of the Postal Savings Bank) totaled 92560 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0% over the previous year. Among them, the total revenue from the express delivery business reached 771.41 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% over the previous year.

In the first half of the year, the postal industry completed a total of 108.89 billion deliveries, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year. Among them, the express delivery business completed a total of 10.38 billion units, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year.

In June, the postal industry's business revenue reached 162.07 billion yuan, an increase of 5.0% over the previous year. Among them, the express delivery business revenue reached 136.04 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7% over the previous year.

In June, the postal industry's delivery business volume reached 19.0 billion units, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year. Among them, the express delivery business volume reached 17.51 billion units, an increase of 3.8% over the previous year.

In terms of business type, in the first half of the year, the total express delivery business volume in the same city completed 7.22 billion units, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%; the total number of offsite express delivery services completed 91.01 billion units, an increase of 6.1% over the previous year; and the international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan express delivery business reached 2.15 billion units, an increase of 6.6% over the previous year.

In the first half of the year, the postal mail business completed a total of 410 million items, an increase of 20.7%; the package business completed a total of 15.6.22 million items, an increase of 13.8%; the newspaper business completed 7.79 billion copies, a year-on-year decrease of 5.0%; the magazine business completed 290 million copies, a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%; and the exchange business completed 663,000 copies, a year-on-year decrease of 32.7%.

In the first half of the year, express delivery services in the same city, offsite, international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounted for 7.2%, 90.7%, and 2.1% of the total express delivery business volume, respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the share of express delivery business in the same city decreased by 1.0 percentage point, the share of offsite express delivery business increased by 1.0 percentage point, and the share of international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business volume remained flat.

In the first half of the year, the share of express delivery business revenue in the East, Central and Western regions was 73.6%, 15.6%, and 10.8%, respectively, while the share of express delivery business volume was 68.7%, 20.8% and 10.5%, respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the share of express delivery business revenue in the eastern region decreased by 0.4 percentage points, and the share of express delivery business volume decreased by 2.9 percentage points; the share of express delivery business revenue in the central region increased 0.1 percentage points, and the share of express delivery business increased 1.5 percentage points; the share of express delivery business revenue in the western region increased 0.3 percentage points, and the share of express delivery business increased 1.4 percentage points.

In the first half of the year, the express delivery business revenue brand concentration index CR8 was 87.0, down 0.1 from January to May; the express delivery business volume brand concentration index CR8 was 96.1, which was basically the same as in January-May.

In the second quarter, public satisfaction with express delivery services was 85.0 points, and the 72-hour delivery rate for express delivery services in key regions of the country was 86.74%.
