The Hong Kong Government appoints members to the Elderly Affairs Committee

The Zhitong Finance App learned that today (July 17), the Hong Kong Government announced the re-appointment of Dr. Lee Kwok-tung as Chairman of the Committee on Elderly Affairs and Professor Lai Wing-leung and Wei Shi as members of the Committee. At the same time, Professor Mo Jiahao was appointed as the new Vice Chairman of the Committee and Yan Xu Yushan as the new member. Their term of office will take effect on July 30, 2026 and will last for a period of two years.

The Secretary for Labour and Welfare of Hong Kong, Sun Yuhan, said, “The Elderly Commission has always provided valuable advice to the Government in formulating policies and measures for the elderly. Dr Lee and the other appointed members have extensive experience which will certainly assist the Committee in carrying out its functions. We will continue to work closely with the Commission to improve services for the elderly in Hong Kong.”
