Malibavir is the world's only marketed anti-cytomegalovirus drug targeting pUL97 protein kinase. It is also the world's first and only approved treatment for refractor/drug-resistant cytomegalovirus infection/disease in pediatric patients after transplantation. It is used to treat CMV infection and/or disease after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or solid organ transplantation in one or more previously difficult adult and pediatric patients.
