China's first national five-year special plan for the consumer sector was released. The core goal is to increase consumer consumption rates, coordinate consumption of goods and services, and establish a mechanism for long-term consumption growth at multiple levels. Recently, the State Council officially approved the “Fifteenth Five-Year Plan” to expand consumption, proposed a target of about 60 trillion yuan in total retail sales of consumer goods for the whole society by 2030, and deployed 28 key tasks and measures. The per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents in some counties is already on par with first-tier cities in northern Guangzhou. According to the reporter's statistics, in 2025, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents in at least 13 counties exceeded 53,000 yuan, which is already comparable to that of going north. Among them, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents in the five counties of Yueqing, Yuhuan, Yiwu, Wenling, and Haiyan exceeds that of all first-tier cities.
